Whale watch houses, 2024
Read MoreOur proposal is to conserve nature, environmental quality and safeguard historical-cultural heritage and local identity, therefore, we choose local materials, such as basalt stone and cryptomeria wood, to be more sustainable as possible.
Taking advantage of the amazing location and landscape, where the calm and tranquility of the natural environment predominates, we propose to maintain the construction that we believe to be the most traditional of the existing built cluster.
The small pre-existence in basalt stone serves as a model for the remaining housing units and gains even greater prominence by being isolated and further south than the remaining “contemporary copies” in cryptomeria wood painted in the region's traditional red color.
The proposed horizontal cluster is punctuated with a watchtower, also in Red Critpoméria Wood.
